Born in South Miami, JP Granado knew early: at five, asked what he’d be when he grew up, he said “a chef” without blinking. His parents bought him a George Foreman grill. He never really put it down - burgers for his family, then the kids at school, followed by friends he would make as he kicked around the streets of his beloved hometown.
Food and family shaped him, the culture and pulse of the city greatly influenced him, and the crew he ran with made him.
Life took him elsewhere for a while: business, a band and a few new horizons. But the pull back to that grill and his hometown never left him.
Granado’s is JP’s homecoming - a true Miami local bringing his Cuban and Spanish heritage to Miami’s best smash burger; plus, introducing his own take on a cult classic; The Choripan - a must try when in Miami.
